Know high school students who care about animal protection and who want to reduce animal suffering? Tell them about the "A Voice for Animals High School Essay Contest," sponsored by the Humane Education Network and Palo Alto Humane Society.All high school students are invited to submit an essay of up to (but no more than) 1,500 words. The essay should be one that:
- examines either the mistreatment of one animal species or one cause of animal suffering, occurring anywhere in the world, and possible measures to reduce it;
- cites all sources;
- is the original work of the author and not previously published;
- is typed and double-spaced.
The deadline for entries is March 10, 2008.
