Bjarke Ingels: New Visions for Sustainable Architecture

Integral to humane education is helping people manifest creative solutions that benefit all, regardless of their interest or whatever career they pursue. I came across a good example of a broader vision of the built environment for people and the planet in a TEDx talk by architect Bjarke Ingels. He says:

"Architects have to become more than just designers of two-dimensional facades or three-dimensional architectural objects. We have to become designers of ecosystems. Systems of both ecology and economy that not only channel the flow of people...but also the flow of resources."

Although his vision doesn't include concern for the animals, and I have questions about the kinds of resources his projects use, his structures exemplify what's possible when we combine concern for others with creativity. Enjoy!
